p-approximation of Jacobians

چکیده
The paper investigates the nonlinear function spaces introduced by Giaquinta, Modica and Souček. It is shown that a function from Cart(Ω,Rm) is approximated by C functions strongly in A(Ω,R) whenever q < p. An example is shown of a function which is in cart(Ω,R) but not in cart(Ω,R).

The "weight smoothing" regularization of MLP for Jacobian stabilization
In an approximation problem with a neural network, a low-output root mean square (rms) error is not always a universal criterion. In this paper, we investigate problems where the Jacobians--first derivative of an output value with respect to an input value--of the approximation model are needed and propose to add a quality criterion on these Jacobians during the learning step. More specifically...
متن کاملAn Open Mapping Theorem using unbounded Generalized Jacobians∗
In this paper, three key theorems (the open mapping theorem, the inverse function theorem, and the implicit function theorem) for continuously differentiable maps are shown to hold for nonsmooth continuous maps which are not necessarily Lipschitz continuous. The significance of these extensions is that they are given using generalized Jacobians, called approximate Jacobians. The approximate Jac...
متن کاملMore about measures and Jacobians of singular random matrices
In this work are studied the Jacobians of certain singular transformations and the corresponding measures which support the jacobian computations.
متن کاملComparison of iterative methods and preconditioners for the solution of miscible two-phase flow in heterogeneous porous media
After discretization in time with the implicit Euler method and in space with the Box method (c.f. [2]), we end up with a nonlinear system of equations. Newton’s method is used to solve these systems, where the required Jacobians are obtained by automatic differentiation (AD) (c.f. [3]). In contrast to approximate Jacobians via finite differences, AD gives exact Jacobians through a source code ...
متن کاملPath Jacobians: Theory and Applications
In accordance with Fermat's Variation Principle, a ray path connecting two arbitrary points in a scene via multiple reflectors is given by a non-linear system. If we fix one of the two points and let the other change, the system can be considered as a function relating the reflection points along the path to the varying point. In this paper, we present the concept of path Jacobians for such a r...
